Terms of Use

Last updated 9 August 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Marked Labs B.V. (KvK 66657830) for your use of the Blepper app and this website. By using Blepper you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use Blepper.

Who can use Blepper

You must be 16 years of age or older to use Blepper. When you first use the app you are asked to confirm this. Blepper is intended for use in the Netherlands.

Your account

You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email address — there is no password. Keep access to your email secure, because anyone who can open that link can reach your account. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

Using Blepper responsibly

  • Only photograph cats in places where you are allowed to be.
  • Be considerate of other people's privacy — avoid capturing people, house numbers, or licence plates where you reasonably can.
  • Do not upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing content.
  • Do not attempt to break, overload, or interfere with the service or its security.

Your content

The photos and details you add stay yours. You grant us only the limited permission we need to store and process your content so the app can work — for example, to save your photos and show them on the page of the cat they belong to. You are responsible for the content you upload and for having the right to upload it.

Blepper is shared, so some of what you add is visible to other people. A cat is one record that everybody who meets it contributes to. Your photos, ratings and tags appear on that cat's page under your display name, and your display name appears on a public leaderboard. Where you were does not: see our Privacy Policy.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from within the app, in the Profile section. Deletion is permanent: we remove your account, your photos, your sightings, your ratings and tags, and any location you recorded for a cat in your care. This cannot be undone, so export anything you want to keep first. How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.

The cats themselves stay. A cat is a shared record that several people may have contributed to, so deleting your account must not delete their sightings along with the animal. What goes is everything of yours attached to it. A cat nobody has any sighting of left is removed too.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or that is used unlawfully.

The service is provided as it is

Blepper is offered during its early stages without warranties of any kind. Features may change, and the service may be unavailable at times. To the extent the law allows, Marked Labs B.V. is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Blepper. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Dutch law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands. Any dispute will be brought before the competent Dutch court, unless mandatory consumer-protection rules give you the right to a different court.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
